Pre-Conference Compliance Workshop
When Compliance and Operations are at a Crossroad: Industry Hot Topics and Deep Dive into the Proposed New Rules for Debt Collection
Time: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (Workshop) / 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. (Networking Reception)
Registration Fee: $199
Maximum Attendance: 75 attendees
As new forms of consumer communication channels become mainstream, disagreements or misunderstandings between ops and compliance continue to mount. It is crucial to your organization’s success that you understand how to resolve these disagreements, that you recognize the difference between an ops decision and a compliance decision, and you know when to ask for help.
During this half-day session, we’ll address topics around consumer communication frequency, the latest issues facing data furnishers, how to implement a digital communications program, how to audit and monitor your processes effectively, and how to protect your company when incidents and non-conformities are identified. We’ll also take an in-depth look into the CFPB’s proposed new rules for debt collection and discuss the potential operational impact to your organization.
This year’s pre-conference workshop is designed to be a completely interactive open discussion, and to provide you with helpful tools to take back to your company. Bring our panelists your burning issues and we’ll work through them together.
Additionally this year, immediately following the three-hour workshop, we’re hosting a networking cocktail hour exclusively for our compliance pre-conference attendees. Join us from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. as we continue our conversations while enjoying the scenic ocean view from the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado.
Please note, if you have already registered to attend the PowerUp 2019 conference, you will need to choose “Modify Registration” when signing up to attend the pre-conference workshop.
